Kumiki
Crossing and bonding separate pieces of shells is one of the most challenging techniques requiring accuracy and precision. It resembles the method known as Kumiki (or Kigumi); a traditional building technique in Japan, which joints timbers firmly without nails and bolts.
It calls for intense concentration and sophistication to successfully bond the tiny pieces into the slit on each end, fixing the product firmly without use of glue.
Our kumiki production allows a wider surface giving it a much larger portion to shine in comparison to the products made with other methods.
